NM-B-Kabel werden hauptsächlich in der Hausverkabelung als Abzweigstromkreise für Steckdosen, Schalter und andere Lasten verwendet
Das NM-B-Kabel kann in Luftporen von Mauerwerks- oder Ziegelwänden verlegt werden, wenn diese Wände nicht nass oder feucht sind
Die Nennspannung für das NM-B-Kabel beträgt 600 Volt
